Badki and Chutki live a fun-filled life in Banaras, playing pranks, sneaking off to see a forbidden mujra, and soaking up all the excitement that goes on the ghats of the Ganga. Badki is aware that the family is in dire straits, but she and her mother protect Chutki at all costs. When things get worse, Badki decides to go to Mumbai and seek a living for the family.

Widow Laxmi lives a meager but happy existence with her four children. As her son Vijay struggles to support the family, Laxmi is swindled out of her life savings. Vijay swears revenge, resulting in a series of shifting fortunes that send the entire family into upheaval.

Lovely Pinky Malhotra is a heart-breaker in the college where she studies, and has a number of young men who would lay down their lives for her. Amongst them are Sunil and Vicky. She is attracted to Sunil, and both carry on a romantic relationship, hoping to get married after finishing college. This is a story of feudalism in it's raw state. The tonga and a certain simplicity of the village folk is exploited by the Jagirdar and his cohorts. Throught the film the Jagirdar deals with the sins of his father, will he be able to be a man, and acknowledge the crime of his father?

The story is about King Karma Dev who gives a lot of importance to physical beauty. His mother, the Rajmata requests Mahamantri Munjal to find him a nice wife. Karma Dev often dreams of marrying an unknown beautiful woman he had once seen in the Somnath temple. Meanwhile, Mrinalla is the princess of Karnataka, who also dreams of marrying a king she had once seen in the Somnath temple. When Munjal happens to see the beautiful woman Mrinalla, he shows the King's portrait to her and she is happy to finally find the man of her dreams. So she runs away from the palace and searches for Karma Dev to marry him. Soon after, Munjal shows Mrinalla's painting to Karma Dev, who agrees to marry her. On the day of the marriage, the King finds out she is dark and refuses to marry her. After several incidents, Karma Dev realizes his mistake and at last he happily accepts Mrinalla as his Patrani.

A fight starts between one man army Kranti and Choudhury's henchmen and at last Kranti defeat Charannath and kills him.

Akshay and Sanjana, two estranged lovers, struggle to stay alive during the floods in Mumbai in 2005 and realise their true destiny during the calamity.
