So they take advantage of an offer from Peter's father, who has accepted a job in South Africa and wants to take the detectives there. But Jupiter, Peter and Bob wouldn't be the three investigators marks feared by the criminal world if they just lounged around in the sun on their vacation. So it's no wonder that the clever boys soon have their next case to solve...

The teens reminisce of their childhood Berry Day as they enjoy Christmas eggnog. Since Berry Day is one of the happiest days of the year, Betrayus launches a plan to get rid of the day by capturing Santa Pac and his Round Deer and to possess the gifts and Berry Day decorations. All Pac wants for Berry Day is to see his parents Sunny and Zac and is overjoyed when they arrive. But, his parents tell him they want to see the tree of life in the secret location which is forbidden. Are these Pac’s real parents or are they a trick from Betrayus and Dr. Slimestein? Let’s hope Berry Day can be merry after all.

The Christmas story, as told in the book of Luke in the New Testament, is poetically narrated by Jarvis.

During Christmas time, there are many people responsible for bringing toys to children around the world to make them happy. Some of them are Santa Claus, the Three Wise Men, the Baby Jesus, the witch Befana, and Father Snow. All of these characters call themselves "genies," and they all work together to fill children's lives with happiness during those magical days. However, one day everything changes: one of them does not return to headquarters. And, as if that weren't enough, several of these genies also begin to disappear. Confusion and concern grow among this group of magical individuals.

Krabat, a beggar boy, is lured to become an apprentice to an evil, one-eyed sorcerer. With a number of other boys, he works at the sorcerer's mill while learning black magic.
