After a close friends suicide; Will, a Punk and Post-Punk musician living in the US is struggling with doubts about his relationship, his identity and ultimately what he wants to do in life. Will becomes isolated, reliant on substances and is sent down a path of pain, suffering and existential terror.

The film is about the love story between Murat and Selma. Murat is a masseur loved by his clients. Her biggest goal in life is to make her daughter Ebru happy. One day, he is assigned to the physical therapy of Abbas, one of the bosses of the underworld. He meets Selma, Abbas' daughter. The two, who did not get along at first, fall in love with each other over time. But the struggle between Abbas and his rival Kamil irreversibly affects Murat and those around him.

After a weekend of dancing and camping on a recreation island near the city, a young factory worker decides to stay and cut work for a day. A picture-story showman is reading a story about a troublemaking tanuki on the street to children. A starving tanuki with nowhere to go plots to steal offerings from Mangokuzan Temple, which has a lot of offerings. The raccoon sneaks into the temple. While he is eating bean-paste buns, a child bonze comes. So, the tanuki turns himself into a statue of Buddha. A shortened and revised version of The "Enchanted Kettle". According to The History of Japanese Animation written by Katsunori Yamaguchi and Yasushi Watanabe, the picture-story scene at the beginning of the film and the scene of the raccoon dog dancing at the end were added in this version.

When the double wedding takes two daughters away from the old man at once, the youngest, now the only one left, in outraged spirit promises never to leave her father, but soon she too is departing for a new home. Then comes a cold hard fact of life. The son-in-law claims his right to make a home alone for his wife. In his bitterness and anger, the father denies them both the house. Several years later the lonely old man meets at the gate a babe in arms. When he learns whose baby it is, heart hunger craves another sight, and sought, brings with it the only natural result.
